- Power Steering Control Module SPS Calibration Status = Incomplete
- VIN Not Programmed
- Software Malfunction
Actions Taken When the DTC Sets
Power Steering Output Torque = Default

1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode.
2. Verify DTC C056E is not set.
- Perform all necessary programming and setup procedures for the control
module: K43 Power
Steering Control Module
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets - Replace the component: K43 Power Steering Control
Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
3. All OK.
Symptom Byte:42
1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode.
2. Verify DTC C056E is not set.
- Calibrate the power steering control module.Refer to:Power Steering
Control Module
Calibration
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets - Replace the component: K43 Power Steering Control
Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
3. All OK.
Symptom Byte:37
1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
2. Verify DTC C056E is not set.
Replace the component: Steering Gear
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
3. All OK.
