Distance Sensing Cruise Control Signal Message Counter Incorrect
Circuit/System Description

Cruise Control).
Conditions for Running the DTC
- Ignition/Vehicle=On
- Vehicle Speed.=Greater than 40 km/h (25 MPH)
- Cruise Control=On
Frequency the DTC runs=Continuously - After the running conditions are met -
For greater than 5 s
Conditions for Setting the DTC
Distance Sensing Cruise Control Communication Malfunction
Actions Taken When the DTC Sets
DTCs listed in the DTC Descriptor Category=Type C DTC
Conditions for Clearing the DTC

Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode.
2. Verify DTC P1553 is not set.
- Replace the appropriate component:
- { If equipped }K14 Distance Sensing Cruise Control Module
- { If equipped }K124 Active Safety Control Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
3. All OK.

The original equipment battery is
maintenance free. Do not remove
the cap and do not add fluid.
If equipped with a V6 engine, the
battery is under the trim panel on
the left side of the rear cargo area.
If equipped with an L4 engine, the
battery is under the hood. See
Engine Compartment Overview.
CAUTION: The tire should be dismounted from the wheel using the tire
changer
manufacturer's instructions. Use the following information to avoid
damage during the dismounting/mounting procedures.
NOTE: If vehicle's tires are replaced with those not having a TPC Spec
number,
the TPM system may give
