Conditions for Running the DTC
Ignition = On
Conditions for Setting the DTC
- The control module detects a short to ground. - Power Steering Motor
Position Sensor Circuit
- The control module detects a short to voltage. - Power Steering Motor
Position Sensor Circuit
- The control module detects an open circuit. - Power Steering Motor
Position Sensor Circuit
Actions Taken When the DTC Sets
- Power Steering Output Torque = Disabled
- P9 Driver Information Center Display = Service Power Steering
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
- A current DTC will clear on the next malfunction-free ignition cycle.
- A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive malfunction-free ignition
cycles.

Replace the component: K43 Power Steering Control Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
