Buick Regal: Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator Case Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module - Remove.

2.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

{ If equipped }Auxiliary Heater Core(2) - Remove.

3.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

Heater Core(1) - Remove.

4.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator Case Bolt(1) - Remove[5x].

5.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator Case(1) - Remove.

6. Unlock the retaining tabs.

7. Transfer components as necessary.

Installation Procedure

1.

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

NOTE: This step only needs to be performed if the vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary heater core.

Cut out the auxiliary heater core cover along the marked line (1) from the new heater and air conditioning evaporator case.

Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator Case(1) - Install.

CAUTION: Fastener Caution

Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator Case Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[5x] 2.5N.m (22 lb in).

Heater Core(1) - Install.
